Colours of Valkenburg is a 2-day Streetpainting event to be held in Valkenburg, The Netherlands. Under this section you can find a short programme-outline of the Colours of Valkenburg festival. As the festival gets closer, a more detailed programme will be published on this website.
Saturday August 21
Colours of Valkenburg will start on saturday the 21nd of August at 10 a.m. Participating streetpainters are assigned to their "piece of pavement" and start creating their Streetpaintings.
The fact that Streetpaintings are continuously under contruction means that visitors can monitor the entire creation process. Which makes this a very dynamic festival.
At 6 p.m. all Streetpainters are requested to stop painting. Their streetpaintings will be guarded during the night.
Sunday August 22
At 10 a.m. all Streetpainters can continue their creative work.
On this day of the festival, all Streetpaintings will be judged by a public jury. All visitors can receive a ballot at the central information post on the Theodoor Dorrenplein.
Scheduled at 4 p.m. is the prize-giving ceremony in which the winners of the first Dutch Open Streetpainting Championship will be announced!
Colours of Valkenburg is scheduled to end at 6 p.m.
All Streetpaintings will receive a special coating layer to make them more resistant against bad weather.
Other events
Henri Jonas Art Fair
On Sunday the 22th of August Colours of Valkenburg cooperates with the organisation of the "Henri Jonas ArtFair". This event takes place from 10 a.m. untill 6 p.m., just like the Colours of Valkenburg Streetpainting festival.

Registration
International streetpainters can sign up for Colours of Valkenburg by filling in our registration form to be found under "registration" on this website.

Compensations
Food & beverages
All registered streetpainters will receive food and beverage tickets. These tickets can be handed in to receive free drinks and meals during the Colours of Valkenburg festival.
Overnachting
Alle Internationale Streetpainters hebben de mogelijkheid kosteloos te overnachten in de omgeving van Valkenburg aan de Geul. Hierover wordt later nog gecommuniceerd
Reiskostenvergoeding Internationale Streetpainters
Internationale Streetpainters ontvangen een vastgestelde reis- en verblijfskosten vergoeding.
Chalk & Materials
All registered streetpainters will receive 1 package of chalk for free. You have the ability to buy additional chalk(sets) at the central information post. Please bring any additional materials you need.

Register for Colours of Valkenburg
International streetpainters can sign up for Colours of Valkenburg 2010 by filling in our registration form and returning it by E-mail to the specified address. Within a few days the streetpainter will receive a formal confir-mation of his/her registration. Incomplete registration forms are not accepted.
